The Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is currently accepting applications through Dec. 7 for more than 30 temporary jobs for 2016.
Summer jobs will be available in fire suppression, recreation, trail and wilderness, archaeology, administration, engineering, timber and aquatics. These are seasonal positions with a maximum of six months of employment.
The anticipated start date for these positions varies from the end of April to early June 2016. Employees who are students generally work through the end of August, while others may work as late as November. Almost all of these temporary positions will require physical exertion in rough terrain. The work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
In all, the U.S. Forest Service is seeking applicants for 1,000 openings across Washington and Oregon.
