Local cat lovers can get their feline fix at the Cedar River Rascals 4-H cat show fundraiser 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 16, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Cat Project members ages 5-18 from King and nearby counties will put their skills and knowledge to the test in Fitting & Showing, Type (breed) and Cage Decoration show categories. Members of the club’s Poultry and Rabbit projects will be onsite with their animals. Admission is free. Concessions will be available and a raffle will be held.
“Our show is a fun, low-key way for the kids to gain experience showing their cats in a busy environment prior to the county and state fairs,” Cedar River Rascals parent, and Newport Hills resident, Heidi Dean said in a statement. “It’s also a great opportunity for local kids and parents to inquire about our club and about 4-H in general. 4-H is a wonderful organization.”
Holy Cross Lutheran Church is at 4315 129th Place S.E., Bellevue.
